Earth sees us
struggling
not with malice
but Creation’s empathy
for all is one
in the ecology of God
The sea for a moment
grows sorrowful and kind
ocean combing the continent’s hair
sky weeping gently
forests murmuring their ancient chant
breeze whispering to us
