This is my prayer, O Love,
not that I believe anything about you,
but that I believe in you, trust in you:
I entrust my life to you.
I let you have my life
and you live in it;
you move in me like my deepest urges.
I am your ship and you are my captain.
I am the muscle and you are the nerve.
I trust you; heal my distrust.
Possess me, that all of my life
may be the works of God.
