Precious one, the great web of life
has prepared you for ages
and now brings you to us,
radiant with the love
at the heart of all that is.
A river flows through you.
By your very being, past all doing,
into a world both broken and beautiful
you bring hope and loveliness.
You are a thread of the whole weave of life,
and the whole is present in you.
The gifts you have will flourish
out of the gift you are.
In your blossoming is grace to save us.
In your knowing and not knowing,
even now, is wisdom to guide us.
Though you come into a precarious world,
you are what the world offers
for its own mending.
The purity of your being
draws from us our wonder, and our love.
You give us courage
to make this world worthy of you.
Child, Beloved, source of delight,
