God said to me, “Mortal, can these bones live?”
I answered, “O God, you know.”
Then God said to me, “Prophesy to these bones…”

Your calling is not to know
but to proclaim, to give hope to the bones.
You are the answer to your own longing:
the power within you to live as a sign.
You do not know the outcome, only that
you have been given as a symbol of hope.
Hope is not wishing for a preferred future
but acting on your trust in the face of the mystery.
You are an icon of a grace
you yourself do not understand.
This is not for your sake, but for the bones
that need to hear. Prophesy.
