Wisdom is trusting grace.
We do foolish things because we’re afraid,
(mostly of things that don’t matter)
or greedy (mostly for what we already have).
We’re desperate: we fear what others think,
or we seek success or revenge—
so we do hurtful things.
We’ve forgotten we are God’s Beloved
and that we are given all we need.
When we trust God’s grace
we don’t do desperate, foolish things.
Wisdom is trusting God’s grace.
